Shannon Griffin, DMD
Dr. Shannon Griffin grew up in the mountains of Southern New Mexico where she graduated from New Mexico State University. After college she ventured to Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston. As a new doctor she completed two years of residency in complex general dentistry and dental implants at the University of Oklahoma. After residency she accepted a position on the OU faculty and started a dental practice in Edmond. During her over 40 years of practice, she has received numerous awards and served as the President of the Oklahoma Dental Association.
In 2022 Dr. Griffin moved to Lawton to join her husband, fellow local dentist, Dr. Juan Lopez. They are committed to providing excellent and caring dental services to their chosen community. In their spare time they enjoy golf, skiing and travel.
Eric Lopez, DDS
Dr. Eric Lopez was born and raised in Lawton, Oklahoma. He graduated from OU College of Dentistry in 2022. Upon graduation, Dr. Eric Lopez came back to Lawton to work alongside his dad, Dr. Juan R. Lopez at Lopez Dental Associates.
When he’s not in the office, Dr. Eric Lopez loves to spend time with his dogs, exercising, and cooking. He also enjoys reading sci-fi, and painting miniatures.
Ryleigh Mills Brackney, DDS
Dr. Ryleigh Mills Brackney is from Edmond who earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry in Oklahoma City, graduating Summa Cum Laude with one of the highest academic honors in her class.
Dr. Mills’ journey in dentistry with Dr. Griffin began during her undergraduate years in Edmond, where she worked as a dental assistant. This experience played an important role in shaping her career and allowed her to develop a strong connection with Dr. Griffin. She was excited to follow Dr. Griffin to Lawton, where they now have the opportunity to work alongside one another caring for patients.
During dental school, Dr. Mills served as President of the Student Professionalism and Ethics Association (SPEA) and Vice President of the Albert F. Staples Society, a community service organization. She received multiple awards recognizing her achievements in academics, community service, ethics, and leadership.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Mills enjoys traveling, pottery, and reading. She and her husband, Paul, love exploring new places and spending time with their two cats.
Kelsey Carden
Registered Dental Hygienist
Kelsey has been practicing dental hygiene since 2019. She received her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Midwestern State University with the honor of Magna Cum Laude and was voted “Outstanding Dental Hygiene Student” by her professors and peers. Kelsey’s favorite part of working with Dr Lopez is seeing smile transformations. She strives to educate and guide patients on the importance of oral health while also helping them achieve their aesthetics goals and leave our office proud of their smile. As a Lawton native, she loves seeing both familiar and new faces in our practice. In her spare time, Kelsey loves traveling with her husband and daughter, going to the lake, and spending time with her family.
Sharla Dobbins
Registered Dental Hygienist
Experienced Registered Dental Hygienist dedicated to compassionate patient care, preventive oral health, and serving the Lawton-Fort Sill community.
Sharla was raised in Bowie, Texas, and graduated from Midwestern State University in 1984. With 42 years of experience in dental hygiene, she has proudly served patients in the Lawton-Fort Sill community since making Lawton her home in 1988.
In her free time, she enjoys running, family time, and watching her grandchildren’s sporting events.
Sharla looks forward to continuing to provide trusted, compassionate care and helping patients feel confident in their smiles.
